Formed in 1968, the Nebraska Community Blood Bank is a community-based organization that collects, stores, and distributes blood products in southeast Nebraska. Pickering created a new and informative site in Drupal CMS that provides useful information for existing and potential donors. The site permits visitors to sign up to donate blood, and download important documents. It features a slideshow reminding visitors of the impact they provide through the storyline of Be the Type... Additionally, the site encourages visitors to share their story, further enforcing the community aspect.
